mandatory digital fingerprinting for security clearance

You own a company. Your company bids on government contracts and you win some. In the past, to get your people on-site and working, you or your admin staff made sure everyone got a name-based CPIC. A few of your employees over the years had to get fingerprinted to get cleared to work the project.

Well, to quote Bob Dylan, “The Times They Are A-Changin’.”

Notice was received in May 2016 stating the CPIC will be retired and be replaced with a fingerprint-based ‘Criminal Record Verification’ (CRV). The results of CRV search produces a Certified Criminal Record (CCR) and a clear CCR (I love that acronym) will get your crew the Reliability Status clearance needed to work on government projects. The government notice in the link below indicates the change is slated to kick in as of October, 2016.

However, as IPP has contacted likely businesses affected by ‘mandatory fingerprints’ and this news has not been widely promulgated, we made a few calls to some Ottawa connections and associates we have developed over the years and the scuttlebutt indicates the program may be off-set until January, 2017. Regardless, mandatory prints are on the way.

Asking someone to get a fingerprint-based criminal record verification is a bit of a mouthful so when the request letters or emails come in from PWGSC suggesting employees or staff need to be printed to get clearance to work on that new project, call Impact Pardons Plus (IPP) 343 333 1778 and IPP will, with a little help from your admin staff, look after it all; the collection, the submission of digital prints to the RCMP and the return of the CCR to the proper government agency address - and we will get it done when it best fits with your schedule.

If requested, IPP Mobile will go to you to collect prints on-site and then digitally send them later that day. This translates into company savings of time and money. IPP is also available Saturdays, Sundays as well as early evenings during the week. Just call and we will make it work for you.

Your people work shift? Not a problem.  IPP can be on site early mornings to catch both night shift and day shift personnel and then on site again late afternoons to catch people who were away and the evening shift. Over a 2 or 3 day period most everyone can be printed without a plant shutdown, production line slow-up and with minimum disruption of your construction crews.
